“Backbone” - African Blackwood Burl (Tanzania) - 6.25 x 2 x 1 - There is
a cameo or profile figure inhabiting the bottom of the spoon bowl – the
bowl is all burl and the handle straight grain heart bordered by sap –
the title comes from the skeletal suggestion of the carving on top of
