"Sweet Dreams” - Claro Walnut - 12 x 5 x 2 – Great story here. California wood artist, Koji Tanaka made a king size bed frame for champion wood collector, Fleur Bresler. He sent me some of the cut offs from the project. I took a claro walnut chunk to the Echo Lake Collaborative at Buck County Community College, where exceptional Romanian chip carver Zina Burloiu and I carved this spoon. Zina’s remarkable chip carving decorated various surfaces of the bowl rim and handle finial. We anticipated Fleur would attend the fund raising auction and she came through, enjoying the story and adding the spoon to her collection. SOLD . Photography by Jim Osborn
