“Black Flame” - Bog Oak (Ireland) - 12.25 x 4.25 x 1.5 – The other
favorite from the recent spoons – figure is lost in black wood but this
piece has a lot of curly figure – again the oakness of the wood is lost
to the eons being submerged in Ireland’s peat bogs – the bowl is a
pointed flame shape which dances on top of three teardrop forms – the
last of these ends in a crushed area not unlike a brush – a strong large
and mysterious piece - $2500 – SOLD. Photography by Jim Osborn.
