
“Fishhook" – 2005 – Spalted Maple – 11" x
5" x 2.5" - Spalting refers to the black lines caused by
fungus growth in damp wood – these "zone lines" stop once
the wood is dried – I grew up near the Chesapeake Bay and fished with
my father throughout my childhood - this spoon uses the hook form for a
