“From the Bog” – Ancient Kanooka Wood – Australia – 11.5 x 4 x 2 - this is the first piece I have carved from bog wood – sometimes thousands of years old, bog woods are preserved in submerged environments such as the peat bogs of Scotland Often black they appear as an ebonized version of the original timber – this large scoop has dramatic naturally weathered surfaces on all of the handle – this wood is very dense and heavy - $2400 – SOLD.
