3" – a very sculptural form with a bit of the old weathered stump
left at the end of the handle – this wood has lustrous medullary rays

Note: This spoon was on exhibit from November 7, 2014 until January 24,
2015 at the Center for Art in Wood in Philadelphia, PA. Needlewood Spoon
was part of Rediscovering Emil Milan and His Circle of Influence, an
expansion of the first Milan show summer 2014 at Penn State Great
Valley. Milan taught my first teacher and has been the subject of 8
years of research shared with friends Barry Gordon and Phil Jurus. |
