Norm Sartorius - Offering

Offering – Needlewood – 10 x 8 x 8 - this is a very sculptural large spoon with beautiful natural weathered surfaces and great red figured grain in the carved areas. Needlewood comes from Australia. The upright handle seems to have been bent into position with a natural fold where a hole shows between the bowl and handle. There is also a point, somewhat spout like, coming from the bowl lip. I believe this is a very successful piece with interesting elements all over the spoon. $3200 - SOLD. Photography by Jim Osborn.
