Norm Sartorius - Single Parent CBMAA

“Single Parent” – African Blackwood Burl – Tanzania – 8 x 3 x 3 - this one shows a large spoon with a little spoon nestled close as if being protected - it really could represent any similar situation – owner/pet – caring for a parent , etc but I was thinking of parent /child when I made it. The wood is astounding African Blackwood burl with a breathtaking display of sapwood patterns on the back of the bowl. Photography by Jim Osborn.
