Bloodwood Spoon - 4" long x 5" wide x 1" deep - 1994 - Private Collection - There are at least two ways of looking at
this spoon. One, the handle is some sort of spring with tong-like ends that grip the bowl of the spoon. The other has to do with the illusion of wood being plastic. When people see this photo in my show booth, they sometimes think the wood was bent into this form. I have carved two of these, but on the second I made the loop go the opposite way.
