"Spoon with a Headress" - Texas Desert Driftwood - 11" Long x 5" wide x 2" deep - 2000 - Private Collection - The "Headress" part is actually the weathered roots of a very small tree from the Texas desert. I have a friend there who makes decorative brushes and uses similar wood for her handles. It's interesting to me how shallow the weathering is and how beautifully the finished bowl and the weathered handle
complement each other.
